23L Cabin Cooler, Lighter Cold for the Cottage

I’ve only had the cooler for a few weeks and have used it twice. The first time we didn’t pre chill the cooler and the ice melted very fast we also had the cooler packs in it. The second time we chilled it for about 8 hours. And the ice started melted within a few hours with the cooler packs. Not sure what we are doing wrong. I was hoping to not have to use ice at all. Just pre chill and use the ice packs. We are going to try that this weekend. It’s a very heavy cooler. That is also something to think about when buying it.

Fantastic cooler, well built and the accessories kit makes this an unbelievable value. It’s a perfect size for a beach day or weekend trip up to cottage. The drain valve and the ice pack attachment screws are the same thread just in case you loose the drain valve. Great piece of kit, will definitely need to get another larger one for big trips.

Kept ice for 3 whole days of camping. Great quality. I love the Frost colour. (Would be nice to have more colour options though)

I love that it's Canadian. I wish they would make this 23L with wheels, like the Explorer. If you're a smaller person or have a bad back, not sure I'd recommend this one.
The 25L Icebox Cooler is same size interior, but smaller exterior dimentions - though heavier, but just not so awkwark to lift and carry, IMO.

Used it on an 85 degree day.
Used lid ice packs and center divider ice pack.
Sat for 7 hours in the sun. Ice packs still frozen stiff and everything in the cooler was colder then when put in.
And the nice thing about the ice packs, no wet mess at the end of the day.
Exceeded my expectations, worth the money.

Absolutely love the cooler and all the accessories. Looks amazing…cooler is rock solid, smiling from ear to ear then you go to pick it up and your heart sinks from the flimsy fisher-price handle they put on it to “cut weight” give me a break, put that stainless one on your Icebox cooler comes with and have a bulletproof product. On the fence about returning mine. The cooler loaded up with ice and bevys your looking 30-40 pounds, and its not a matter of if…but when will the handle snap In two. Would be great if we could order the stainless handle part and replace the mickeymouse one it comes with. Nowhere in the description that I can find does it say that it comes with a plastic handle and when I tried to search some information online, it said it came with a stainless steel handle. I wish that was the case. Great local Canadian company….sent a hat to say thanks for buying their product.

So far the cooler has lived up to all expectations. The way the cooler packs mould into the interior is a great idea. The cooler is quite heavy both empty & when loaded but i guess this is a trade off for the insulation qualities. We use the cooler primarily for transporting frozen items from the grocery store to our cottage in the back of our truck and out in the boat. Both of these exercises require minimal carrying of the cooler and this cooler does a great job for these purposes.

A study well built cooler, the perfect size for a long weekend at the cottage. The study handle is great but what truly makes this the perfect weekend cooler is the ice pack compartment separator, keeps everything frosty and organized. Beers on one side for him, vodka coolers on the other for her.

Great product. Love the cup holders. Thank you for the extra cold packs and t shirt. Only thing is it does have weight to it.

The unit is ok. It is heavy empty and when loaded
It will be difficult for some to lift or carry. We primarily have used it for day trips. There is not a lot of room inside. Does it work well, Yes 100%! Would I buy another, No definitely not! I would recommend it to others but with a healthy dose of warnings!
